WHO ARE WE!

We are Dane and Cindy, a married couple in our 50's from South Africa. Just after the covid 19 pandemic, we seized the opportunity to book a cheap holiday to Thailand, sparking a new found passion for travel. Inspired by that unforgetteable experience, we wondered how we could explore the world more extensively and perhaps even permanently.

After carefully assessing our finances and watching countless you tube videos showcasing others nomadic lifestyles, we realized our dream was within reach. We took bold steps, renting out our home and hugely downscaling to a small lock up and go apartment. We sold a lot of our possessions and embraced a more minimalist lifestyle.

Fueled by the inspiring stories we found online we launched our own you tube channel to document our journey. Thus began our exhilirating adventure.

Through our experiences we hope to challenge, inspire and encourage you to embark on your own voyages of discovery. Along the way we will share our tips on budgeting, visas, finding the best accommodation, transport etc. We aim to be real and authentic in our videos so you can feel like you are right there with us.

For the past two years, we’ve embraced house sitting as a smart and rewarding way to explore the world on a budget. It’s allowed us to experience incredible destinations we might not otherwise afford—like a memorable three-week stay in Switzerland—all while caring for lovable pets and connecting with wonderful people. House sitting has not only stretched our travel budget but enriched our journey in ways we never imagined.
